Aaron Brewer

Aaron is an experienced clinician and counselor educator committed to personal and professional growth.

Aaron is generally easy going but will not hesitate to support and challenge clients to pursue their goals. Aaron provides supportive and uncovering therapy. This means he focuses on stabilizing emotional or relational crises and then exploring unmet needs or unaddressed wounds from the past robbing individuals and couples from the life they hope for. Aaron works primarily with men struggling with compulsive sexual behavior and betrayal or individuals wanting to address trauma from childhood.

Aaron is a Counselor Education and Supervision doctoral student. His dissertation work focuses on men experiencing betrayal from a female spouse. He works as an adjunct professor teaching graduate counseling courses. He previously worked at a large Children's Hospital in a psychiatric unit providing group counseling, documentation auditing, and crisis intervention training/recertification for multidisciplinary teams. Aaron has completed certifications in sex addiction, betrayal trauma, gaming/tech addiction, developmental/relational trauma, and is an EMDRIA certified therapist.

Men and women suffering from unwanted/compulsive sexual behaviors or relationship betrayal are unfortunately misunderstood, mistreated, or offered inaccurate information when seeking help from mental health providers without specific training in these areas. Aaron has experienced the benefits of treatment in his life and marriage and wants to provide similar healing to others.
