I aim to help you experience life more deeply, enjoy more satisfying relationships, resolve painful conflicts, and better integrate all the parts of your personality, identifying your truest, most authentic nature and aligning your life with it.
I focus my attention on helping individuals and groups with recovery from developmental and relational trauma and neglect, divorce, male and female parental enmeshment, physical and sexual abuse, sexual compulsion and addiction, betrayal trauma, women's issues, single parenting, as well as other forms of trauma. I conduct Family of Origin trauma intensive workshops, as well as workshops for female enmeshed adults, and partners of enmeshed adults. My clients often include therapists and coaches.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor, Certified Partner Trauma Therapist Supervisor, and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. In conjunction with Parts Work, I use dynamic psychotherapy, also known as an insight-oriented therapy, which focuses on unconscious processes that manifest in a person’s present behavior. This helps my clients understand how their unconscious feelings and thoughts affect the ways they act, react, think, feel, and relate. In conjunction with this approach, I use both EMDR and Somatic Experiencing®
Growing up in a family with a history of trauma and addiction, then experiencing divorce and single parenthood as an adult, was what first prompted me to seek transformational counseling for relational trauma and issues with codependency. As a result, I gained self-awareness, compassion, sensitivity, and an interest in others struggling with the same issues. In recovery I pursued authenticity, and I look forward to helping you become your most authentic self!
