LPC, CPTT-Candidate
I work with clients suffering from trauma. I employ EMDR for clients who are interested in reducing their symptoms of trauma and PTSD. I care deeply about each of my clients healing whether it be through couples, family, or individual sessions.
My framework includes attachment-based, developmental trauma informed, and research-based approaches.
I am trained as a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist. My experience includes assisting betrayed partners prepare for a formal disclosure, creating boundary plans, receiving and communicating polygraph results, as well as facilitating groups for betrayed partners.
Additionally, I am a preferred provider for Ken Adams with advanced training in family enmehsment issues. There is a correlation between sex/porn addiction and enmeshment. This specialty is helpful in identifying tailored approaches
I am a fully licensed professional counselor. I have a warm and empathetic approach and I use collaboration to help my clients plan their healing journey. A first session with me would include the required onboarding of informed consent, time to discuss current issues, and an overview of the family system that the client is coming from; I believe that no problems exist in isolation. This helps to set the intention for our work together. Clients can expect to feel safe, supported, and accepted in the therapy space. I encourage clients to "come as they are!"
My purpose is drawn from repaying those individuals and my support system who helped me to "see the light" at the end of the tunnel in my own life. We all need help sometimes and I am am honored to be a part of the healing village that carry my clients through their moments of pain and struggle.
Having experienced infidelity personally and within my family system, I've dealt with the devastation that betrayal trauma can have on a family system and within a relationship, personally. I feel inspired to hold space for those enduring this pain and lead them out of the darkness.
